HOTEL IN JAKARTA IS COMFORTABLE

Bordering Central Jakarta along Jl. Sudirman, South Jakarta is home to the city's Central Business District aka CBD or Golden Triangle. These widely used terms describe an area which is clearly defined by the city's 3 busiest thoroughfares - Jl. Rasuna Said, Jl. Gatot Subroto and Jl. Sudirman. It is within these boundaries that the majority of Jakarta’s skyscrapers, five star hotels, banking institutions and luxury apartments are located. Easily the city's 'fast track' this area boasts numerous upscale cafes, wine bars, ethnic restaurants and pubs - making it home to 'power lunches' as well as trendy places to just 'chill' after a hard day's work.

South Jakarta is also home to Blok M shopping area as well as the exclusive and expat dominated residential areas of Pondok Indah and Kemang. Blok M’s most prominent place of business is the Pasaraya Grande Mega Department Store. The street markets in this area are fascinating to wander through on your way to the air conditioned comfort of Pasaraya Grande. Both Pondok Indah and Kemang boast numerous fine dining establishments and some shopping centres. Kemang is the more reasonably priced area as far as housing is concerned and is the scene of a very comfortable “lifestyle”. On weekends this previously quiet residential area is particularly lively. Pondok Indah is the home to many of the truly rich of Jakarta and being an 'expat enclave' many of Jakarta’s International Schools and Pondok Indah Mall are located in this area. FYI, in order to remain objective, hotels are listed in alphabetical order. We don't favor any hotel for any reason.
